TURBULENT FINANCIAL MARKETS DEMAND A DIFFERENT FINANCIAL STRATEGY

Global financial markets, since the Great Financial Crisis of 2008-2009,  have never been more distorted or controlled by world governments, as they are right now.  Many commentators, in fact, believe  previously free markets may not return for many decades, if ever.  In an attempt to stimulate stalled economies, many governments and central banks have intervened to manipulate or alter intermarket currency trading levels, interest rates and interest rate discovery, mortgage markets, and money deposit rates; and they have invoked capital controls and currency transaction surveillance.   Money and currencies are not responsibly managed, rather they are simply conjured up at the whim of political bureaucrats whose goals often diverge from their national constituencies.

We are at the forefront of a quickly changing financial environment in which consumers and investors are questioning and challenging fundamental views of money and investing. Our customers demand answers to several important questions.   They are as follows:  Should an investor trust their government to determine the ultimate value of their home currency and investment portfolio?    What is the risk of holding a fiat currency in a financial crisis?   What is the antithesis of a fiat currency?  Will the U.S. dollar always maintain its status as the global trading currency?   How can investors proactively defend themselves from government actions designed  to undermine or devalue the value of their savings?   Which asset or group of assets will prove to be the "prudent man" strategy in a radically changing future world?

At  GMU, we believe we have cogent answers to these historic questions.

Protecting your money.... the GMU difference

The GMU strategy is to effectively create a personal Global Monetary Unit for our customers to combat the corrosive effects of owning or investing in fiat currencies.  The GMU strategy is to carefully select currencies, asset classes, and specific investments that will offset or counteract the actions of irresponsible governments which often benefit by debasing or devaluing their citizens' home currencies.
